You are invited to submit a bid for U.S111 Jefferson Highway Water Main
Relocation for the Public Utilities Department of The Unified Government of
Athens-Clarke County. The Project consists of approximately 10,200 linear feet
(LF) of 8-inch ductile iron pipe water main; 520 LF of 16-inch jack and bore
steel casings; erosion and sedimentation control; and appurtenances.
Sealed Bids, for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment and
appurtenances necessary for the construction of Jefferson Highway Water Main
Relocation will be received by The Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County,
at the office of the Purchasing Division, 156 Satula Avenue, Athens, Georgia
30601, until 3:00 p.m., ET, on April 7, 2005, and then at said office publicly
opened and read aloud. The Instructions to Bidders, Bid, Contract Agreement,
Drawings, Specifications and forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond, Payment Bond
and other Contract Documents may be examined only at the following: Public
Utilities Department, Athens-Clarke County, 598 Prince Avenue, Athens, Georgia
30601. Athens-Clarke County Purchasing Division, 156 Satula Avenue, Athens,
Georgia 30603.
BONDING REQUIREMENTS: Each Bid must be accompanied by an original Bid Bond,
prepared on the form of Bid Bond attached to the Contract Documents or a Surety
Company's Standard Bid Bond, duly executed by the Bidder.
